Programs
All training programs are designed to assist students to learn and improve their job training skills.
Career Training & Internship Program
- The Career Training Workshop includes resume preparation, interviewing skills and job search techniques
- The internship program will equip students to use their newly acquired skill in the workplace
Computer Basics
- This course will give you the fundamentals of basic computer skills wether you have computer experience or not
- The curriculum includes Introduction to Keyboarding, Microsoft Word Basic and The Career Training Workshop
Advanced Computer Skills
- This intensive 12-week course is designed to help students go from novice to expert
- Students will improve their skills and establish best practices for a successful career in the workplace
- Students will develope skills to work with complex software applications learning Intermediate and Advanced Microsoft Word, Basic Microsoft Excel, Basic Microsoft PowerPoint, Basic Microsoft Access
- Students will have the opportunity to gain confidence and prepare for the workplace through The Career Training Workshop
Bank Teller Academy
- This comprehensive 12-week program teaches the skills, etiquette and professionalism that makes tellers successful in their career
- This program prepares students to interact well with customers, complete processing and settlement transactions quickly and accurately following compliance and security procedures to protect the bank, employees and customers
- Students will leave the program as confident, professional tellers who communicate well with customers with enhanced accuracy and efficiency of transactions processing, reduction of compliance risk, improved cross-selling and increaced customer retention.
Business Accounting Skills (Quickbooks)
-The registration process will take place 3-4 weeks before classes begin.
-Assessment dates will be mailed to each student along with the dates courses will begin. This program will run for a total of 12 weeks in the evening.
-This 12 week course in computer assisted accounting will teach students, with the help of instructor, keyboarding, creation of spreadsheets, and customer service skills.
-The curriculum includes Accounting ith QuickBooks, payroll computation, tax reporting, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
-This prepares the student for entry level position in areas of finances and data entry.
-Upon successful completion of course, student will be awarded a certificate of completion.
Internship
- Assistance to find internships are provided when available
Registration
- Registration is on a first-come-first-serve basis.
- Students
must register
in person at the Career Development Learning Institute (CDLI), 22 Maple Avenue, Danbury, CT 06810, at least 3 weeks prior to the start of each 12-week semester.
