We are a collaboration of congregations and Christ-centered ministry agencies serving the youth, at-risk and homeless populations of Danbury , Ct. We take our name from the ancient Jericho Road where the Good Samaritan encountered a beaten and bruised traveler and gave him aid. We seek to fulfill the Bible’s twin directives to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ and do good deeds to demonstrate His love – benefiting our community by helping those in need of spiritual, emotional and material transformation.
This Web site will provide opportunities to take action and connect with people who share a vision for making a difference in Danbury .

The word "Pivot" means "a turning point". Pivot Ministries makes that turning point available for troubled men who desire to turn away from the bondage of drugs, alcohol, and other life controlling issues.  Pivot is a 16 month Christ-centered program.  It is a place for men to work out issues through Biblical instruction, counseling, and prayer in a supportive loving environment.

The men who come to Pivot seek a new way of life.  We  want to be known as a place of sanctuary for men to experience the life changing healing power of Jesus Christ.  This involves a process of acceptance, discipline and structure in a supportive loving environment.

It involves accountablility, supervision, and biblical classes that address a new Christian life.  Spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical needs are met through counseling and prayer. Pivot is a live-in facility which food and lodging are provided, as well as transportation to and from approved scheduled appointments.

Teen Challenge New England
The Teen Challenge program has a strong faith-based approach and offers spiritual, academic, and vocational training that equips individuals to return to society as responsible citizens. A number of our graduates have experienced complete recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. They have told us that the key to their success was developing a personal relationship with God and putting into practice all that they had learned while in our program.

Philadelphia Teen Challenge opened in 1964. Our program serves men and women, 18 and over from all ethnic, socioeconomic and religious backgrounds. We believe that there is hope for recovery for every individual who is bound with life controlling problems such as an addiction to drugs or alcohol by establishing a relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe there is hope even when all other methods have not worked.
We are here to let you know we care about your life!
Whether you are a concerned family member, ministry partner or a perspective client you will find information here that will help you or someone you know caught in the web of drug addiction find freedom from addiction. Teen Challenge can help.
"We care for those who care enough to change."
Teen Challenge lays the foundation for hundreds of disenfranchised men and women, who have battled the bondage of addiction, to reclaim their lives and re-enter society as healthy, whole, productive members. We endeavor to help people become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well and spiritually alive.

Lives are transformed at TC by the power of God that is stronger than the bondage of addiction.

Men and women come for help in various forms of crisis.  They are accepted on the basis of their desire to change their lives.  The rules are explained to them and they are immediately given an opportunity to accept Christ.  The students enroll in special discipleship classes that provide Biblical tools for change.  They are mentored by staff and follow a daily schedule of discipleship and opportunities to live out the Christian faith.  The students progress further through character studies and social life skills.

TC is a one-year residential program, for adult men and women 18 years and older, in which drug addicts, alcoholics, gang members, victims of abuse, dysfunctional families or any other life-controlled person can meet the Lord and learn to follow Him.  Lives are transformed as they are captured by the supernatural love and power of God that is stronger than any drug that has held them in bondage.  The overall objective is to initiate a total environment approach and change of values in the lives of the students in the program.  TC helps the total person in spiritual, emotional, physical, social and educational perspectives.

To inquire about someone entering the residential program or see what other services TC offers, call or email the TC Center for more information or to set up an interview.  The interview serves two purposes. It allows the induction personnel to explain the program to the prospective student and provides an opportunity for the potential student to decide if TC is a good fit for them.
